Much has been said about Covid19. Inspite efforts to contain the virus by governments of countries, we still see increased number of infections. Others who were able to surpass zero cases for a certain period saw a resurgence also called second wave. We saw them implementing restrictions again. Locally, we saw that the number of cases still increasing. Looking at it, we still see no chance of going out without a mask and/or a face shield. These must to wear when we go out is really an inconvenience. One time when I went out to buy foods for a one week supply at a nearby market I experienced shortness of breath and almost fainted. To me it was caused by the face mask I was wearing not by the heavy load I was carrying on my way home because this is the very first time I experienced this. I used to do this as my form of exercise even if the sun is almost up around 8 o’clock in the morning for more than two years already. Before the lockdown, I even go as far as Divisoria.
Life is precious. It is something that money cannot buy. As such, it is our own responsibility to protect ourselves and our families’ health and make it as top priority. We have to make sure that we have enough protection to fight the Covid19.
We should not allow the virus to overpower us. We need to sustain life and that is by going back to work whatever it was before the pandemic. If it is impossible, then just move on and try another one. We Filipinos are resourceful and creative. We cannot just stay inside our homes hungry and wait for government support. We can help by doing our part unconsciously.
How can we fight the virus? It is by providing enough protection. When I say protection, I mean to protect ourselves by boosting our immune system. Even if we cover ourselves with expensive face masks or shield that is still not a guarantee. Eating the right food, adding fruits and vegetables into our daily food intake, regular exercise enough rest and practice social distancing will help us fight Covid19 at least for now while our health experts are still developing the vaccine.
Let us always be thankful for what we have. Always pray, God will always be with us if we ask for His guidance. God Bless us all!
